I have been a licensed clinical social worker since 1978. I have worked a variety of settings:
- In patient psychiatric hospital
- Clinical Director at a Community Mental Health Center focused on Parents and Youth
- Executive Director of a Social Work Agency focused on working with seniors, particularly ailing and fragile as well as providing supportive and educational services for their family caregivers
- I have been in private practice since 1980 and have worked with hundreds of individuals, couples and families.
My work is now focused on working with people moving through difficult life transitions from 50 years old and upwards. I also work with their family members - spouses, children and significant others to include all important people in the client's life- if that is important for the client's well-being.
At present, I have a practice in Ulster County as well as in Westchester. I also provide therapy services to people in specific assisted living facilities to assist them in making transitions, addressing issues of depression, loss and anxiety as well as work with the family members.
Medicare payments with secondary insurance or co-pays can be arranged where necessary.
I do not accept managed care insurance, but I am reimbursable as an out-of network provider.
